A big HMS welcome to the virtual aspects of our Open Evening.
This year we ARE holding a face-to-face Open Evening in school on Wednesday 29th September between 4:00 and 6:00pm. We hope to see as many of you there as possible!
During the event you will have a tour of the school, meet all of our staff and lots of our children, who will be demonstrating many of the exciting things that happen at Highfield Middle School. You will also get to see the specialist facilities we offer and sample some of our school meals.
However, in the interests of COVID safety, we will not be bringing everyone together in the hall for a presentation from the Headteacher and senior staff as we normally would. Instead, we are providing some aspects of this information virtually, here on our website.
If you are seeking a place at Highfield Middle School for your child, either now, next September, or in the future, then we hope that this information will be extremely useful. You may wish to have a look at some of our online content before you attend the Open Evening in person next week.
We have asked our staff and students to virtually show you some of what we offer and to give a taster of our teaching and learning, student support, personal development, and day-to-day activities. We hope that the content gives you a feel for our school and that, combined with a visit in person, you will feel very well informed about life as a Highfielder.
We have organised our virtual open evening content into bite-size videos, allowing you to pick and choose which sections you would like to watch. Feel free to explore this section of the website however you choose- either watch it all, or dip in and out of areas that interest you. Each video has its own page on the menu, so please click on each title to see the video for that section. The drop-down menu is located on the left hand side of the screen. Hover your mouse over each video to reveal the play button. Click on the play button to start each video.
